The distance from SDK Kombandaru to the city center is actually not that great, only 20 minutes by car, but the phone signal in the area is unstable. Oftentimes, when visiting the school here, the Rainbow Reading Gardens team must make impromptu visits, since the school cannot be contacted. Thankfully, the school and its staff await us with open arms. Limited connectivity is no problem for these teachers and their excitement never waned in educating the students.

After a series of library preparations, on Friday 7 September 2018, finally the library was ready to be used by the students of SDK Kombandaru.

After the library was inaugurated, parents and students of SDK Kombandaru were invited to enter the library room.

In this opening ceremony, the SDK Kombandaru headmaster, Kornelis Wanda, said that parents were very enthusiastic in celebrating the presence of a library in SDK Kombandaru. Parents work together to provide the best food for the guests present as a form of their gratitude.
