Today we received 4 boxes of crayons @12 packs, 5 chidren story books, a bunch of pencil erasers and pens from “Forum Selam“! Forum Selam is one of Indonesian divers communities, in which divers get together, share information on its website on dive sites in Indonesia and elsewhere, share underwater pictures, tips on scuba-diving and many more! Sometimes they organize dive trips together, too!

Forum Selam has helped us in posting a thread on its website, urging its members to support the reading gardens. As a result, some of the members did help us by sending some fund donation! Great! And this time, “Forum Selam” showed their supports again by giving us crayons, books, erasers and pens!

Their donation fits in perfectly with our plan in establishing Rainbow Reading Gardens in Kerora Village on Rinca Island, Komodo National Park next month! According to the school principal in the village, the school only has 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th grades! Therefore, realizing that there are more “younger” students on this village, we thought that it would be great if we could provide some art materials (crayons and drawing books) for the students there and kids who are not able to read yet!

So, soon… the small kids who are not able to read in Kerora Village can enjoy coloring books with the crayons given from “Forum Selam” and have fun together with their friends in Rainbow Reading Gardens! Thank you for all members of “Forum Selam“!
