SDI Puupau officially became part of the Rainbow Reading Gardens family on the 6thof September 2018, after the inauguration ceremony.

This inauguration was attended by Stanislaus Luka, a representative of the Department of Education. Rainbow Reading Gardens founder Nila Tanzil also attended and inaugurated Rainbow Reading Gardens’ 90thlibrary.

Students, in Collaboration with the Communities, Welcoming Guests

Welcoming guests at this school is not child’s play, even though it’s for kids. Schools work with local communities and junior high schools near schools to play traditional instruments that are very loud and lively. We were amazed because this was the first time we saw a musical instrument being played directly, not recorded.

After the library is officially opened, parents and students alike have the opportunity to dive into the books while sitting comfortably on carpeted floors. Truly, in developing libraries, Rainbow Reading Gardens prioritize the safety and comfort of children. All furniture in the library is made child friendly. After all, if the books are child friendly, why shouldn’t everything else be?

As many as 96 students at SDI Puupau can access more than 1,000 books at the library. They can even have the books read to them by the teachers. Even though the school is about two (two) hours from the Ende city center, they now need not worry about accessing quality books.
