To help eradicate illiteracy rate in Eastern Indonesia, especially in East Nusa Tenggara, Rainbow Reading Gardens is launching a program called #BebasButaHuruf.

According to the data from the Ministry of Education & Culture of Republic of Indonesia, provinces in Eastern Indonesia have the highest percentage of illiteracy rate in the country. East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is among the big four with 10.13%

During the times at partner schools, Rainbow Reading Gardens team often meet a number of students from higher grades (Grade 4 to 6) who have difficulties in reading.

This encourages Rainbow Reading Gardens to provide more quality books for them. In addition, Rainbow Reading Gardens formulates a program to enhance their reading skills for developing a habit of reading.

Therefore, in #BebasButaHuruf program, Rainbow Reading Gardens focuses on providing basic literacy course for elementary school children who are still illiterate, conducting capacity building workshop to teachers and providing teachers with the necessary skills that will benefit them as well as their students in the long term

To help actualize this program, Rainbow Reading Gardens invites you to contribute to this initiative by donating at Kitabisa.com/bebasbutahuruf. Let’s help our dear friends in Flores to read so they are ready to compete in this wide world! 😉

This campaign is part of #BikinJadiNyata campaign initiated by AirAsia. Cited from kitabisa.com webpage, AirAsia desires to be part of the journey of many people who are pursuing their dreams, especially those related to education, environment, and entrepreneurship.
